Uncle Sam

Not everyone knows where the name "Uncle Sam" which marks the icon of the United States appear, even many people who make bizarre allegations about the meaning behind "Uncle Sam".
One of the information on the Internet and magazines islam even mention that the term "Uncle Sam" comes from Sam son of Noah who belied his father's invitation. More funny again there is a link between "Uncle Sam" with Samiri, which notabenenya is the creator of the worship of the cow in the story of Prophet Musa As.
I think this assumption is too excessive and not in accordance with historical facts. Admirer of this theory is just the people who believe in conspiracy theories by linking any changes or events with a certain community which is considered very dominant and powerful and well regarded groups that deviate from the teachings of Islam ketauhidan (Jewish). Just because the United States has a dominant Jewish community, then we seriously connects every thing related to the United States with Jewish or freemasonry.
In historical perspective, the term "Uncle Sam" is not coming from above suspicion. Even the narrative is much different and more based on giving the term accident in history. The term "Uncle Sam" is actually derived from the name of Samuel Wilson, a meat packer from Troy, New York. Samuel Wilson was born in Arlington (known as Menotomy at the time of tu), Massachusetts, to parents comes from Greenock, Scotland. To mark a location near his birthplace. Monument was made that there is uncle sam statue. As a child, he moved with his family to Mason, New Hampshire. In 1789, Samuel and his brother Ebeneezer moved to Troy, where they went into business. In 1797, Samuel married Betsey Mann of Mason and brought him back to Troy with him. They have four children and lives in a house on Ferry Street. Samuel Wilson died at age 87 in 1854 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
The term "Uncle Sam" comes from the events of the war 1812. At the time of the War of 1812, Samuel Wilson, a meat wrapper obtain contracts to supply meat to the Army in the civil war in the north. Meat is sent and then packed in barrels and belong to government agencies, so that given the identity of the initials "U.S.". While receiving a supply of meat, appears joke among soldiers that the initials stands for "Uncle Sam", who supply the product rather than the United States. From time to time, it is believed, whatever that is marked with the same initials (as much Army property was) also became associated with his name. Since then the United States became synonymous with Uncle Sam. This term is increasingly recognized as the World War I (1914-1918) an American illustrator and poster designer named "James Montgomery" adopted the name of Uncle Sam and adapting them into a propaganda poster into a tangible cartoons. The figure of Uncle Sam jangggut described as having short, long-style hat magician with images of stars in the middle of his hat while wearing tailcoat classic style of music conductor and then his hand pointing to the inscription below it "I Want You". Then complete the association "Uncle Sam" as a symbol of the United States.
Thus, the term "Uncle Sam" had no ideological nuances. Rather the term is just an ordinary term, the same as the term banyuwangi city and so forth. Sometimes we think things are too complex and global, whereas a lot going on this earth is because the things that are trivial and small.
My teacher, senior historian, RZ Leirissa once joked that since the Dutch colonialism in Indonesia is trivial, namely because the women. This is because the mothers in Europe requires the spices to preserve food, because the extreme temperatures in Europe. For this reason, to meet the needs of mothers, the men they went sailing looking for spices to reach the archipelago (Indonesia), and because they feel comfortable in Indonesia long run they do not want to go home even mastering and live offspring at Indonesia.
It was a lot of little things that escape our attention and it is precisely because the little things that the world becomes more colorful!
