State Definition

Aristotle stated the State is: a combination of several families includes several villages, and eventually can stand alone entirely, with the purpose of pleasure and the honor together.

While the Roman thinker Cicero asserts the State are: the emergence of a healthy mind many people unite for justice, and participate in the profits.



On the other hand writer Francis Jean Bodin said the State are: the association of several families with a decent welfare, with a healthy reason to agree to be led by a supreme ruler.

Above definition there is some damage:
1. No country can stand alone.
2. There is no perfection / advantages of living in absolute contained in the State.
3. it is not possible all the communities within the State can sympathize welfare of its people.

The definition of moderate:

Phillimore declared State are: people who permanently inhabit a given territory, bound together by laws, customs and mores in one policy.

Bluntschli says the State are: the organization of wisdom to those particular region.

Gettell asserted state is: community elements, permanently inhabiting a certain territory, with the legitimate demands for independence from outside and have a government organization, by creating and running a comprehensive law in the environment.

Definition menggena Gattel more than any other definition, the territory inhabited by the community, because to feel oppressed, then the independence they are entitled to determine their own lives.
